ABOUT ME
www.YogaisUnity.com
Grew up as a bored, materialistic suburban kid, so I left home straight after high school and went to Tulane for a year, where I discovered magic plants and found out I needed a different kind of education. I started practicing yoga, then decided to move to Utah to become a mountain man and learn how to build houses, then took a road trip up the west coast from Mexico to Canada. Then I decided I wanted to move to Costa Rica and write a book about happiness, so I flew down with my mountain bike and cycled around the coast, sleeping on beaches, mountains, or in the forest. I got kinda bored of lounging in beachside hammocks with perfect views though, so I decided to take the long way back home, through Panama, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, Belize and Mexico. Got a well paying cubicle job in Austin, and saved up for 9 months while figuring out how to transcend the system, then decided to move to Australia and get my yoga teaching certification and learn how to surf. Flew to New Zealand for 5 months afterwards where I lived out of my car and couchsurfed for 5 months, climbing mountains, teaching yoga, attuning to the Reiki energy, and nearly freezing to death. After coming back to the States and going to Burning Man twice, Lightning in a Bottle, and 12 White Tantric Yoga Solstice festivals and a Permaculture Design Course, I was in Austin where I taught kundalini and hatha yoga, expanding Sacred Acres (the intentional community I co-created) and spreading metaphysical and Permaculture knowledge to anyone who is interested, making our Ascension to the 4th Dimension/ Unity Consciousness/Divine Alignment happen as joyfully as possible.
Been living in Guatemala the last four years building an epic off grid bamboo yoga retreat - The Golden Temple Atitlan! I lead Kundalini Yoga Teacher Trainings, DJ for Ecstatic Dance, lead Cacao Ceremonies, and play the harmonium to lead chants in Kirtan.
PHILOSOPHY
The world is getting exponentially better and worse, but our choice is always the same, are you acting from fear or love? Which world do you choose to live in?

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
First ever surfing experience was at the New Zealand collective. A pretty synchronistic series of events brought me straight into the center of this community, and its introduced me to a whole new form of experience, education, and entertainment
Interests
breathing in crazy new ways, feeling energetically unified, chanting and singing, dancing to world music, natural building, unified field theory, crop circles, interstellar influence on creation of the pyramids, growing organic food, the geopolitical situation, clarifying spirituality, exploring parks off the trail, civil disobedience for change, mountain biking, playing the congas and balaphone( all really badly right now), freecamping, couchsurfing, CACAO!, and climbing rocks and trees whenever I can

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Getting completely lost after dark while bike-packing in the mountains of Costa Rica, sludging through mud for hours on end with all my gear, and then coming upon 3 Ticos riding their horses back home from the city, a grandpa, dad, and son. They brought me back to their farm with no running water(besides the stream on their property and a well), no electricity, and gave me some tortillas, cheese, and coffee while we talked by candlelight for hours about each others culture and lifestyle. Then the next day their kids completely washed my bike up in the river, then had their son push my bike alongside the dad and I riding horses up the mountain until the main road where they directed me back towards civilization, unfortunately. It was like I stepped into a time warp back to 1900's Costa Rica before tourism and electricity and anything like our modern lifestyle. Beautifully simple
Teach, Learn, Share
Can teach Yoga, share Reiki and raw foods knowledge, lots of great dance music, and usually traveling with Cacao. Also, I've got a pretty alternative view of history and government and cosmology that most people find interesting, others absurd :)
