About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help create a peaceful, enjoyable community- bringing people together in an environment that fosters wellness and respect.
ABOUT ME
I live quite simply. I enjoy gathering with people in my community and sharing our thoughts, our passions, our time, our food, our bikes, and our true selves. I love cooking for others. I enjoy reading, tap dancing, bicycling, writing, exploring, and learning. I have a rabbit named Fiasco Fiasco, whom I love dearly.
PHILOSOPHY
Although I am not religious by any means, I've always been quite captivated by the Buddhist idea of mudita. Mudita is joy, but more so experiencing the joy of another. It is having absolute joy simply because someone or something else is experiencing joy. It is the opposite of jealousy. I try to find mudita as often as possible.
I believe that people are just people, and none of us know what is going on- why we're here, what life is, etc. The fun begins when one realizes that he will never know, no one can ever possibly know, and he realizes that it's all just a playground. He can do absolutely anything he wants.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am new to couchsurfing, but would love to become more engrossed.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have only "surfed" once so far, but I had a great time! We went to Milwaukee for their Cranksgiving alley cat.
Interests
I am mostly interested in people, and how each individual adapts to this world and his current environment. I enjoy reading and writing poetry, and bicycling. I could talk for hours about coffee and wine.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy the works of Joni Mitchell, Modest Mouse, The Roots, David Bowie, The Gories, Jay-Z, and the Velvet Underground.
My favorite movie is When Harry Met Sally.
I love existential literature, and any nonfiction.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once performed with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra while in Russia. It was one of the lovelier evening I've experienced!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can share LOTS of vegetarian recipes and cooking/baking techniques! I love to share my poetry, and will devour any that is given to me. I know a bit about bicycle maintenance and repair. I know a lot about coffee.
