ABOUT ME

im a student of life's many mysteries, traveler by hobby... summer, winter, long weekend... I'd been working for 2 years after grad school and now I'm enjoying my first retirement = traveling through the end of 2011

i love learning... pretty much anything will excite me

I just moved to Oakland, CA (from ny by way of chicago) to work for a climate change education organization. My mission: to inspire, educate, and actovate high school students to take on climate change.

it pains me to see the way our world is going and how it has become acceptable to most people that there are toxins in our air, food, water, our soil is being polluted, people in this country and abroad are subject to horrendous living conditions because of the way we produce/consume goods and resources. how have we gone so astray?

In harmony with the Tao,
the sky is clear and spacious,
the earth is solid and full,
all creature flourish together,
content with the way they are,
endlessly repeating themselves,

surfed, cooked, walked, sang, danced, hosted, toured, laughed, picnicked, and loved every minute of it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had such a good time surfing in Bulgaria and Istanbul that I wanted to continue that love affair with adventure on my home turf.

ive had the pleasure of surfing on a couch here and there.... some times a floor. either way, its the best.

breaking bread, taking walks or bike rides, learning, building bridges, laughing, cooking, drinking coffee in the afternoon, listening to music or singing whatever's in my head, making people's day better
