ABOUT ME

I have tamed significantly since moving to London from Canada in 2004. Though I do still like to occasionally go out drinking and dancing - lately I find I don't have much of an excuse and go about my usual responsible lifestyle.

I own exercise equipment that I never use, several pairs of shoes that I can't wear without causing my feet to bleed. I'm fond of music and comics. I'm a Part Qualified Accountant by day and a couch potato by night.

In addition to working full time and playing harp(very very badly.. teaching myself, and I'm both a horrid teacher and a crap student) when I can, I'm in nightschool for accounting. So.. busy.

I have a sense of humour that has been described as dark, heavy on the sarcasm, and deeply confusing.

oh, and 2 cats live with me.

I actually just came back from a very long hiatus from using the site at all.. (again)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

It's been a while, to be honest, though I did spend most of a week in Pamplona crashing in a park with various other Couchsurfers (none of us could find accomodation, considering how busy it gets during the festival)

Intereses

I go through phases... we all go through phases, but I'm pointing it out because it bulks up the profile and makes it look like I have more to say than I actually do.

I read a lot (or I do when I have time.)
I enjoy films I don't fully understand, thereby allowing me to make up my own interpretation.
And live events... dont care what it is, an indie band, a boxing match, theatre - not fussed... when I'm in an environment surrounded by people who are completely full of energy and excitement over what's going on, I love it.

I seem to really enjoy french films... Other than that, it's all "a bit of everything" . For music, my last.fm profile (http://www.last.fm/user/Omnicia) will give you the best idea really.. Books, like films, and music, varies wildly, though Kurt Vonnegut is usually a good bet.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Sri Lanka with Habitat for Humanity/ Charity Challenge working on rebuilding some homes. The people there are amazing and just to work out there with them, even if only for a very short time, was one of the most amazing experiences I could have hoped for.

If I could share just one bit of information with the world, it would be to always make sure the lock isn't psychotic, and that you will be able to get back out again before closing the door of the flat you're staying in.
