I'm 28 years old law student from the Czech Republic, currently on my way to a study visit in Greifswald, Germany. I'm easy going and social, although I do enjoy my moments of solitude. I love swing dancing, literature, music, art, theatre, film, gaming (board gaming, to be more specific). I'm also a fan of hiking, biking, skiing and swimming. Not really keen on team sports.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I was offered a month-long study visit in Greifswald, however the university cannot provide me with an accommodation. However, I also love to meet new people, get to know their culture and share and exchange stories. For these reasons I've decided to give Couchsurfing a shot: although I would be spending most of my time at the university library, it would be nice to have at least some social life during my stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - my taste ranges from classical through jazz, swing to rock and contemporary indie music. To pick a few names, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Wolfie's Just Fine.

Movies - pretty much anything goes here. Lately I've been getting into more serious films. To name some favourites, Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, L'Ecume des Jours, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Django Unchained. Also a fan of many series; BoJack Horseman, Black Mirror, Our Flag Means Death etc. etc.

Books - sci-fi, fantasy, drama, factual literature, science. E.g. Lord of the Rings, The Song of Ice and Fire, Dune, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, The Selfish Gene etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Started swing-dancing! It literally changed my life, definitely to the better.
