HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I read forums to meet awesome people and strengthen activist / anti-capitalist / feminist / queer / radical / people of colour / vegan networks. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've stayed on a few couches I've found outside of CS and loved it.

I've met people who live abroad online and then taken them round London when they've come here on holiday. I loved doing that too!

I currently live in London and do not have capacity for people to visit or stay, but it would be cool to meet people I'm likely to get on well with.

I love female vocalists, often. I like classical stuff. I like folk. I like drum 'n' bass. I hate sexist shit but it catches me out sometimes.

I love stuff with a heavy beat, a living rhythm and catchy lyrics.

Films: Velvet Goldmine, Rent, My Neighbour Totoro, Shortbus.

I love queer stuff full of love and sexuality and life. I love music and dancing. I love unusual stuff. Ooh, musicals! Period dramas! Ilike old films, like Marilyn Monroe's stuff and Fred Astaire and The Sunshine Boys and Harold and Maude and all that jazz. I love political stuff, especially stories about great women who've done revolutionary awesomeness. Yay herstory! Yay anarchism! Yay down with capitalism!Woo, documentaries!

Stopped working for money, stopped renting and started squatting and generally floating where the wind takes me, leapt into unknown and kept falling freely, got a job working for a charity whose work I believe in, moved city, moved back, started qtipoc spaces, writing/documenting

- Vegan baking, with awareness of allergens. I bake amazing gluten-free soya-free nut-free vegan chocolate chunk cookies. I love inclusive baking, especially with other people. Let's bake together!

- Communication is one of my big passions; as are facilitation and listening. Wavey hands of joyful consent to non-hierarchical decision-making processes.

- Polyamorous relationships - I love conversations about love and sex and relationships.
