About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To take life one day at a time.
ABOUT ME
I am married with five children but now only two are still at home. I love reading, word games, movies, and sewing, though I haven't done much sewing lately. I have just completed four semesters of Spanish and my goal is to become fluent in the language. In general I am a pretty quiet, non-drinker, non-smoker, non-partier, non-risktaker. However, a very dear friend from Spain has awakened in me a desire to do more, be more, risk more. In short, a long dormant sense of adventure is awakening in me, and I am delighted!
PHILOSOPHY
Two mottos get me through just about anything.
1. stuff happens
2. this too shall pass
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel some, and I host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Spent a week in Philadelphia at a conference, and couchsurfed while there. Also, last summer I spent a couple weeks in Spain, and was able to couchsurf in Barcelona with two amazing guys. Hosted a wonderful Japanese traveler in my home for several days. My life is richer from having met this gentleman.
Interests
I love reading, movies, word games, and meeting people from other countries/cultures.
- beauty

Music, Movies, and Books
I love Josh Groban's music. I'm a huge fan of Charles Dickens. Actually, I love reading, and I feel very sorry for people who don't like to read.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once got to interpret for Maya Angelou at a public event. She's amazing!
Last summer I climbed St. Paul's Cathedral in London, which was a huge feat for an out of shape, middle aged woman.
During my travels last summer in Spain, the two sites I visited that touched me most deeply were Alcázar in Sevilla, Spain, and La Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The beauty in those two places is positively overwhelming.
Teach, Learn, Share
For what it's worth, I would love to learn to ride a horse, and also to learn how to quilt. As for teaching, the only thing I really feel adept at is sign language.
Countries I’ve Visited
