About Me

CURRENT TRAVELS:
Austria.

ABOUT ME: I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, skiing and enjoying the plethora of outdoor activities the Pacific Northwest have to offer. We would be happy to show you around the tricities of you are traveling through here!

I'm formerly an east coaster living in west coast bliss! After graduating college in North Carolina, I took 5 months off and toured the southwest United States on a 19,000 mile, solo road trip. Everyday, waking to a different rising sun, doing something new. Living on the road (or lack of road) taught me spontaneity, flexibility, adaptability, resourcefulness, and to be comfortable making friends with complete strangers. It was truly a wonderful experience. While I miss the 7 day weekends, now my 2 day weekends are spent traveling during the winter skiing and snowshoeing and mountain biking, backpacking and kayaking during summer. The Pacific Northwest is a beautiful place and I intend to see as much as I can, as well as the rest of the world!

On the quieter side, I enjoy dry red wine (Malbec), dark creamy beers (Stout), cooking, history and portrait photography and good conversation and watching the sun rise and set.

I grew up racing bicycles from the age of 12. After moving out west, I developed several more hobbies based upon the plethora of activities available including mountaineering, skiiing, ice climbing, dual sport motorcycle camping and kayaking. The common characteristic between all of these activities includes the exploration of new places and getting outside my comfort zone to learn new skills. I have the same viewpoint towards travel and I'm particularly interested in meeting people who share the same sense of wanderlust!

PHILOSOPHY

Travel allows one to learn about self.

Happiness is real when shared.

The art of travel is to deviate from one's plans.

Learning begins outside your comfort zone.
