ABOUT ME

I am currently building an off grid music studio in the desert near Big Bend National Park in Far West Texas. I write songs and play them for people... and sometimes I even get paid for this. I also am a freelance blogger for the Discovery Network ( Treehugger.com and Planetgreen.com ) and have a few more casual blogs of my own. This combination of livelihoods allows me to travel and work at the same time. Sometimes it's amazing, sometimes tiring, but mostly amazing. I started out my life in South Africa, which makes me an African American. I used to work a dayjob in a dreary office building behind a computer, but now, I'm seeking out alternatives to the 40 hour work week 30 year mortgage life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted a few travelers, some who I already knew outside of CS. I have also used CS to exchange information about music opportunities, and general travel advice.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted and been hosted a handful of times while traveling or touring with music.
