About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To feel my heart more and more and more . . .

ABOUT ME

trying to focus on my intentions but very easy-going; an expert doddler; currently spend a lot of time reading even at the expense of missing out on touristy things; I don't travel for travel's sake - more interested in meeting people, broadening community and view travelling as just backdrop for making strong connections with beautiful souls :)

PHILOSOPHY

. . . to learn how to listen to the wind . . .

Interests

children, healing, singing (will study dhrupad in North India soon), new/foreign customs & belief systems, untangling stuff - especially phonecords, cats & dogs, beards, composting, waste management, self-sustainable living, eating snow, meditation, hangliding, co-ops, biking, biking fast, biking far, community, dreams, alternative education, peeling off stickers and labels, gatherings of good food/cheer/conversation, yoga (my spiritual path), bike repair, linguistics, the occult & esoteric, afternoon frisbe, twilight toboganning, contemporary dance, every season . . .

Music, Movies, and Books

Non-fiction books: "The Prophet" by Kahlil Gibran, anything by Swami Vivekananda or Ramana Maharshi
Fiction: achey-breaky story that takes place during some true historical event or era
Movies: 80s sci-fi/fantasy adventures, sappy or disturbing foreign dramas, documentaries
Music: anything aching/melancholy/haunting/so beautiful it hurts, experimental, ambient, deep house, old house, electro, anything with an 80's new wave kick, contemporary folk, voice & accoustic guitar, slide guitar, accordian, nay, khyal, dhrupad, kazal, world traditional music

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

That I am alive to experience the spectrum of existence :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy fixing bikes, giving massages (am trained in abdominal massage) and doing yoga (I also a yoga teacher). I'd love to learn how to perfect my handstands. I'd also love to learn a few more finger techniques on the keyboard/ harmonium. Now that I'm travelling through India, I'd love learn any traditional style of singing. Love to improvise with voice and so always interested in humble/ creative jam sessions (homemade instruments and amateurs are more than welcome)
