ABOUT ME
Hi! Welcome on my profile. I like to meet people and do crazy and spontaneous things and I am happy I discovered CS. Both hosting and surfing are good ways to broaden my horizons.
I`m an easy going guy. I really like to travel, be active, discover new things, do sports and I`m an adrenaline junky.
If you want to know more about me you'll just have to meet me :-)

PHILOSOPHY
Love! Eat! Meet! Share! Experience! Do! Learn! Live! Enjoy! If what you are doing right now is not making you happy, then STOP doing whatever you are doing. Try something new. Go for it! You'll see that everything works out better and notice that pieces will fit the puzzle of life!"Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." "Be the change you want to see in the world." ~Mahatma Gandhi
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Hosting, surfing and occasionally joining events.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing and hosting are probably the best ways to meet new people in their 'natural habitat' ;-)I've hosted quite a few people so far, and I`m on a couchsurfing stroll right now. More about that below ;-)
Interests
Things to see: Northern light, La Tomatina, Ankor Wath, Great Barrier Reef and many more...Interests: ancient (and modern) cultures, nature, architecture, science, people, and a million things I don't know yet. I recently bought the book "1,000 places to see before you die" by Patricia Schultz. So I could write an endless list here. But it's easier if you come over and read the book yourself ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled through North and Central America for 6 months. It was AMAZING!
After hitchhiking quite a lot during this trip, I'd decided to hitchhike from San Fran to Seattle to catch my flight to Iceland. So I left about 30 hours before boarding-time. And about 27 hours later I was there, about a 1000 miles further. Crazy and so much fun!
I was incredibly tired, but so happy and full of adrenaline that I didn't even sleep on the plane!
Teach, Learn, Share
Between 9 and 17 July 2012 I traveled with 5 friends by car from Amsterdam to Salzburg. We joined the Dutch alternative rally-experience 'The Carbage Run'. This rally is not about speed or time, but about fun and the road-trip itself. We had to buy a car for less than 500 euro's and drive about 3000 KM's with it. Along with 499 other teams ;-)Our trip went through at least 8 countries and we spend nights in Dresden (Germany), Krakow (Poland), Budapest (Hungary), Rijeka (Croatia) and Salzburg (Austria).
It was so much fun that we signed up for 2013.
This year the trip will go through Germany, Switzerland, Italy, France, Andorra and Spain :)
Driving around in a yellow submarine is awesome!
