ABOUT ME

I just made a world tour through Brasil, Argentina, Chili, Australia, New Sealand, Indonesia and India. It is great to live life on a day by day basis. So planning travels is not really my thing. Just see what happens. Until now, the day i start my preparations is the day I set foot in a country. And that has brought me from experience to experience. Surprising and highly rewarding.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have stayed with a number of fantastic families in different places in India. We have just hosted a friend of Leti from Argentina, which was very nice. Leti has been very active in the couch surfing group in Buenos Aires and we have met some people in Holland who she met in Argentina. Before I met Leti (years ago), I stayed with a brasilian director of plays in Rio. Was amazing. Spontaneous and not through any organised system. just word of mouth. Stayed at owners of a hostel as ´friend of the family´in puerto natales. one of my best experiences. So nice to feel at home 15000 km from my house.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Traveling through extreme India enjoying the sights and the people, and catching up with the speed of new impressions. Trying to suck it all in.
- Diving SS Yongala shipwreck off the coast of Ayr, near Townsville Australia. So many fish and sealife. So impressive.
- diving at night @ great barrier reef to encounter 3 meter tall grey reef sharks in the dark. pretty creepy.
- I saw an ant carrying far more than its own weight. Powerful animal
- carnaval in Salvador da Bahia is absolute madness, the biggest party frenzy I have ever seen
- Buenos Aires has stolen my heart
- Climbing Kilimanjaro was intense and rewarding
- Beaches in Brasil ......
- Hiking in Torres del Paine. Spectacular scenery, tough hike, great feeling
