My name is Jacob, from Melbourne, Australia.

I am a filmmaker and musician, working on building a career as a film producer and soundtrack composer.

I'm interested in culture, art, ethics and politics, nature, philosophy and much more that we can chat about in person.

I'm very sociable and friendly, and am always out for a good time, especially if there's something unusual or different to do.

I love CS because of the way it connects people from around the world and creates a borderless sense of community.

I've always had fantastic experiences with couch surfers, as both a host and as a guest. I think it's the best way of getting a taste of the soul of a destination, it's culture and interaction with locals who live it.

I'm very much interested in interesting people, from whom you can learn a lot about many different things. I love to see how things can be done differently and love to find new experiences, so interesting people for me often tend to be intelligent, creative, from different cultures, open minded, and thoughtful.

I'm a very musically oriented person with a background in playing guitar, and electronics and music production in more recent years. I have adventurous taste in music, being drawn to music that is genuine and thoughtful or unique and strange.

I love adventures and being adventurous, whether it being exploring a strange or different place, to trying new food! Experiencing new things and widening my perspective is a hugely important part of my life.

I was at sea from December until March as a producer aboard the MY Steve Irwin with Sea Shepherd, shooting documentary footage of their 11th Southern Ocean anti whaling campaign in Antarctica.
