I am a secondary school social worker now, graduating from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. I am born in 1996. Don’t ask me how old am I because I always think I am forever 18. If you believe in constellation, I am a Cancer girl. I am not familiar with this anyway. I believe what I see and what I feel from face to face conversations.

Kinda shy, but trying to be outgoing. Partly because of my job nature, but more important is that I want to be a kind of that person. Life is hard, but outgoing will make me stay positive. Being alone will easily make one think too much and be negative. Don’t be weird if you feel me being embarrassed when meeting a new guy. I just need some time to be familiar with each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since working, it is so hard to travel with friends, so hard to have holidays in the same period together. And I don’t want to be alone. So the best way is to meet new friends on CS. And it feels so safe to be with a local in my trip. Also, always stick to the tour recommendation online will make the trip so boring, so busy and so expensive. Modern people are so good at photo taking and posting in social media, making us think that these are the must go tourist spots. I hate seeing people mountain people sea.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like pop songs, Cantonese, English, Korean, mandarin, Japanese songs. I can’t live without music, especially when commuting. I live 1.5 hours away from my workplace, so music is so important to release me from work. I listen to love songs the most, because Hong Kong and Taiwan mainly writes love songs. I’d love to share my song list to others.

I find myself so hard to focus on watching movies recently. I always get bored and tired and sleep accidentally in the middle of the movie, like an old lady. Seldom go to cinema, so I can split the movie into two parts to watch and get a break, haha. So, not mention to reading books. I don’t get that patience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went to the north of Thailand for voluntary teaching for a month. This is the first time for me to leave my home for a so long time, meeting new friends and locals. And then for my graduation trip, I stayed in Taiwan for 2 months, being an intern.
It’s so great to live in another place for a long time because recently I feel my hometown is like a shit. Search umbrella revolution and China extradition and you will know more. Sigh.

All I can share are stories, my experiences and those from my clients, so that you can know about HK and the philosophy of HK people. I wish I can get more skills,like making desserts, dishes, coffee, playing music, magic etc. Except from my professional, I really don’t know what else I can be.
