About Me
I am very new to couchsurfing and am pretty excited about it. I'm originally from Turkey. I have been living in the San Francisco area for the last twelve years. I'm in love with the Bay Area and all that it has to offer, so once I've discovered it I've never left :) I still very much enjoy discovering new places, new cultures and meeting new people, so I'm looking forward to adventures through couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When traveling I'm much less interested in 'seeing things' and a lot more interested in 'experiencing things'. You can only do this by spending time with and getting guidance from like-minded people. Couchsurfing seems to be a great place to do that.
I always joke that if you want to see a touristic spot you can just go on 'Google Images' and look at the photos. But you can't just hang out at the streetside cafe and people-watch in Barcelona or bike through the countryside in Italy online.
Interests
I'm addicted to windsurfing. In the time that remains from it I rock climb, sail and just spend time outside in general.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty into Indie rock nowadays. I particularly enjoy Black Keys, The Shins, The Strokes, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and of course all time favorite Led Zeppelin.
As for movies, there are quite a few but I'll watch anything by Quentin Tarantino over and over. The Shining, One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Matrix, LOTR, Star Wars series, ... I'm a sucker for quirky comedies, and well directed horror movies.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Long musings about life and fun, experiences vs belongings, and making the most of it. Oh and I'd like to think that I make a good drinking partner:)
