Hello everyone! :)

I’m a Turkish student who is doing his Erasmus in France, Rouen. I’m studying Linguistic in here and I’m very interesting with especially psycholinguistic in this area. So I’m really in relation with others cultures and languages.

I’m a calm, nice, empathetic person. I’m neat and clean.

When I’m spending my time for something, I really want to benefit from them. Because time is priceless thing, if you spend it at something, you should really work on it for make it good. And that’s why if I’m spending my time with you, I really want to make it a good experience for you and me.

兴趣

I’m practicing the Jeet Kune Do (a fighting method and philosophy of Bruce Lee) for 3 years and I’m helping my Sifu for teaching this method and philosophy as an assistant in İstanbul, Turkey. It’s occupying a very big place in my life actually, learning and teaching.

I’ve also practiced violin for 2 years and then I quit. I prefer the piano rather than violin because its sounds much more colorful. I really want to learn piano but I still didn’t get than change.

Music is really important in my life, I can’t live without it. Somehow I should listen at least a little bit for a pleasant day.

I like learning something new about everything; I’m trying to get into a lot of new things, and learn about them.

Especially I like reading about psychology, it’s kind of my second domain and I want to study and work in this area.

音乐、电影和书籍

While I’m writing this sentences I’m listening Ludovico Einaudi who is the most important pianist in this century. He is my favorite contemporary classical musician.

Actually I can listen every kind of music. There is no border in the music, because every sort of music represents one side of the human soul.

Kings of convenience is the one of the most beautiful groups for me. They represent my calm side. On the other hand Coldplay is also an irreplaceable group which represents my more colorful side…

I like listening especially indie-rock music nowadays, musicians who are more independent and innovator. Like “Destroyer”, “The National”, “Husbands” etc. I’m trying to discover new bands as far as possible.

Anyway, and as movie I like “Secret Window”; I really like every Johnny Depp film, actually.

“Forrest Gump” is the most heart-warming film for me. And “Cast Away”, the loneliness of human, that need for share and speak to someone. Whenever I see this film, it really affects me deeply.

Speaking of books, my favorite writer is Irvin Yalom. Nearly, I read all of the his books as novel (because he is also writing scientific articles and I didn’t read them)

From Turkish writers I like Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar very much. His “Saatleri Ayarlama Enstitüsü - The Time Regulation Institute” is the one of the most important novel in Turkish literature.

And also I like a book of Dido Sotiriou who is Rum (greek of turkish nationality) which tells in her book “Bloody Earth” Turkey’s early history and brotherhood between Turks and Rums from a foreigner’s eyes. It’s a very touching novel.
And Alchemist of Paulo Coelho haunted me when I was a little kid.

It’s too classical I know but, of course firstly I will share my friendship with my host (actually, with every single good person).

But specifically, like I said, I’m practicing a fighting art for 3 years. So if anyone be interest in this subject, I can teach some tricks in that brief time.
