I'm a Ukrainian-born American, I've lived in Kiev, NYC, Ithaca, and Madrid, and currently living in Singapore. And I love to travel. A lot.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm new to Singapore so just getting my bearings!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

For a while I struggled with the sadness that came with meeting and falling in love with people and places while traveling, only to leave them all too soon. But I still believe that it is one of the most amazing experiences, to meet and share stories and experiences with people from all over the world and this has enriched my life and my understanding and appreciation of this world we live in so much, that it makes it totally worth it. And I was pleasantly surprised at how soon I got the chance to see the friends I made halfway across the world anyway on a new vacation to their/my hometown or a place new to both of us.

We once drove up to the northern tip of NZ where the Tasmanian sea crashes into the Pacific ocean - I've never seen anything like it! YouTube it, or better yet - go see for yourself!

Most people have amazing stories to share, even if they don't think so themselves. I think CouchSurfers are mostly a well-travelled group and one who has met all types of people and had very unique experiences in their lives, and just sharing these is the greatest lesson for me.
