我做过的一件不可思议的事情

There was a time when I was little sitting beside my father in the car while he was driving. Out of nowhere he slammed on the brakes. He immediately exited the car and ran up to a crowd of white teenage boys that were harassing a teenage black girl. After chasing them off he asked if the young lady was okay and offered to give her a ride home.

That experience serves as a reminder to treat people the way I want to be treated, to ignore diversity and treat people as equals, and to intervene and lend a helping hand when injustices are taking place.
