About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To Work in a Michelin Star Restaurant and survive!

ABOUT ME

I am a Chef at a fusion style Mediterranean/ Asian Restaurant in the heart of London. It's owned by my current culinary idol Yotam Ottolenghi whose head chef Ramael Scully is a sheer genius. My life revolves almost entirely around food, I cook, i talk about it, i'm always seeking to improve and learn everything I can about this field so I can one day make my own mark on the culinary world. Besides cooking, I take interest in all sorts of music but absolutely love Jazz to an almost obsessive degree, I love literature and enjoy attempting to write myself but solely for my own satisfaction. I'm a open minded level headed person, I love being around people and talking over a beer or heading out with friends to gigs and restaurants. In London there is endless opportunity to satisfy my interests, and in Peckham there is a sort of underground cultish music and social scene which leads to spontaneous and unpredictable nights out.

PHILOSOPHY

Never expect, but always live in hope.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been occasionally couch surfing for the past three years, whenever I have the time. Unfortunately my job very often occupies me during the evening and so I wouldn't be able to show other couch surfers a really good time if most of the time they would be left to their own devices. I hope that in the next few years I can give back to the couch surfing community the experience of such good times as I have been lucky enough to receive myself.

Interests

I enjoy teaching myself bass guitar and a little on other instruments, i like playing music - more for my own enjoyment than for appreciation. I love to cook and learning new methods and styles of cooking, reading awesome books is high on the list too. travelling when i can is a something i would like to include more in my interests as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of films, i am woefully ignorant i think, i like to watch a lot of films but i dont think i challenge myself really with them. Music is anything that gives me a little squirt of excitement and happiness. i am trying to read a lot of classics at the moment but again i really am looking for any advice anyone can give me on what to read next. currently i am reading a The Flavour Thesaurus.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its not really amazing but i it has shaped the way i am: I have lived in 4 different countries in my lifetime - England, France, Italy and Austria.

Teach, Learn, Share

As i have mentioned i love to cook but i would like to learn new styles and maybe things that are specific to the countries that i visit. I can play and read music but i would like to learn how to really interact in a musical environment. I would like to learn a sort of martial art and finally language, i am fluent in French and English and I can speak a touch of Italian but i would love to learn Spanish, German and any other language really.
