About Me
**Please read my entire profile - especially regarding my home - before sending a request.**
I recently did some evaluation of my values and I recently narrowed down my values to two words: LIBERATION and EXPLORATION.
LIBERATION: Everything I do in my life is an effort to liberate myself and others (including animals and the planet) from systems of oppression, broken ways of thinking and doing things, and mental/emotional/physical slavery of what holds us back as a holistic global community.
EXPLORATION: Part of liberation is learning, and I esteem exploration as a top priority - whether that is exploring new ways of thinking and living or experiencing the world through the eyes of a new person and culture. Consequently, travel, art, and cultural events tend to consume my time and energy. People and their loved experiences becomes my passion. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am regularly telling people about Couchsurfing so that they can enjoy the experience as much as I have. Because of the small living space and inconvenient schedule, I'm not usually able to host surfers (particularly not weekdays), but try to provide as much information about my wonderful city as possible for visitors, whether that is in a message or as a tour guide. I love my city and want you to enjoy it as well. Please let me know how I can help!
On top of that, I cherish the surfing opportunities I've been able to have with incredible people. I will forever be an advocate of CS and look forward to connecting with you!
---
I usually cannot host on weekdays. I can sometimes host on weekends. However, If you're looking for someone to show you around town and/or give you recommendations, I'll try to be your person! I love my city and want you to as well, so I will do as much as I can to make it a worthwhile experience for you!
In the rare case that I can host, please understand that my condo is a tiny home. I live in an unfinished 330-sq/ft condo in downtown SLC. Sleeping space, resources, and privacy are VERY limited.
Interests
I love learning about culture. Many of the classes I took in college dealt with the sociology and understanding of religion and culture - focusing on the intersections of sexual orientation and gender identity, Native/Indigenous America, and religion. They're fascinating topics that have allowed me to meet and learn from people around the world hailing from all kinds of backgrounds. I am also involved in the interfaith community here in the Salt Lake valley.
I'm an activist, through and through. My activism takes on many forms and looks different depending on the day, but I can't help myself getting wrapped up in various social justice causes and building equity wherever I can. Sometimes this presents itself in writing, other times volunteering, and other times it's in marches and guerrilla activism activities.
Lastly, I'll just say that I love people. I love spending time with friends and family playing cards or board games or eating together. I enjoy visiting with acquaintances and strangers and hearing their stories and struggles and experiences. The human experience is so varied and vast and I love learning about how others see and navigate it all.
