Overview
About Me
I'm a 22 year old girl from Lyon, in France currently on a student exchange in Dunedin, New Zealand. I've been travelling a lot in Europe with my familly, friends and by myself and now enjoy very much the experience of being so far from where I belong! Being a real city-dweller very sensitive to patrimony, I'm doing History/Art History studies in order to become a heritage curator. But at the moment, I am more than glad and amazed about the gorgeous nature surrounding the place where I live for my exchange. I planned to travel a lot during the summer in order to discover new places through their food, people, monuments, landscapes, music scene. Finally, I would define myself as an open-minded, smilling, and altruistic person already looking forward to meet you all!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to try the couchsurfing experience being on the other hemisphere for a student exchange because I thought it would be the best way to get in contact with local people, to become familliar with their way of life and be aware of the beauty and richness of their daily routine!
Interests
I love everything about food culture and foreign cuisines being very sensitive to the cultural prism food is: I love farmers markets, restaurants, or just cooking a dinner for the people having me. I am also very much into monuments, heritages, art galleries, performances. I would say that travels, walks and exploration of unknown landscapes had definitely became an important part of my life too.

Music, Movies, and Books
For the past two or more years, I've been clubbing a lot in amazing European venues in Paris, Berlin, Rome, or Lyon where I experimented city and underground techno scenes that I adore. Since my arrival in Dunedin, I've been a lot more to gigs, becoming familiar with the incredible local pop, rock, indie, or noise scene.
My mother being a French teacher, I read a lot of French classics and went often to the theater: litterature is deeply part of my identity. I just started to read the English classics, something that I am really enthusiastic about!
Going to the cinema is not part of my favorite activities but I am always keen to watch a good film on a rainy, lazy day!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am a huge fan of my home town Lyon in France where I spent the 20 first years of my life and therefore, I learned a lot about the city's history. One of my favorite thing to do when I am there, is to take people on little historical tours around the breathtaking spots I know in the city.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am looking forward to meet new people so far from home since I found real friends in New Zealand and am aware of the beauty and facility of human connections! Moreover, I love to learn about a new place from someone's eyes, experiences and feelings for such a place.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can definitely cook a dinner for my hosts, it is my way (the French way?!) of thanking someone for having me. And I am quite chatty with people I just met so I would say that I can be of good company on a day walk or in a kitchen around a glass of wine by night!
