About Me

Hi! I'm Sarah.

I'm a multipurpose copywriter who loves to travel (obviously) and gets excessively competitive in yoga classes. People tell me I'm funny, which is good because it makes the fact that I talk a lot more tolerable.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Initially, I only signed up for Couchsurfing because one of my friends talked me into it despite the fact that I thought she was crazy. Then I went on a two-week trip with her, met tons of incredible people, and now I can't imagine a better way to get to know new cities and cultures.

Interests

Because I'm very competitive, I love to play pickup games (usually soccer or volleyball) with my friends. Because I'm laughably uncoordinated, they always pick me last.

I also enjoy reading, yoga, and hiking. I'm not very good at yoga yet, but we'll get there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Right now, my favorites are Kendrick Lamar, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Led Zeppelin. This changes often.

Movies: Though the webernet has given me the information I need to fake intelligent movie conversation, people worldwide have been appalled by the horrific gaps in my film education.

Books: I'm currently reading Consider the Lobster, The Smartest Guys in the Room, and Miss Manners Minds Your Business.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went swimming with stingrays even though sea critters make me nervous. Once you get over the whole "No no no no no it's going to stab me" feeling, they're actually pretty sweet.

Teach, Learn, Share

One of my favorite parts of Couchsurfing has always been swapping ideas, recipes, and languages with my hosts. If you have good music you'd like to share, discovering new artists to listen to is one of my favorite things!

I would also be particularly appreciative if someone could teach me how to whistle.

What I Can Share with Hosts

If you want to learn how to make the world's most delicious cheeseburger, I'm your girl. Also, I'm really good at making pancakes. Like. Really good.

If there's anything from the US you've had before but can't get in your country, let me know and I'll try to bring you some :)
