About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to not stop moving, spiral out, keep going!

ABOUT ME

hello all the beautiful souls out there!
i'm a human, and i love to explore. I'm fascinated by the world, its entropic patterns and the communities that exist within our universe!
I am a sociocultural anthropologist, whose work spans in many directions and places.
I specialize in India (as it has been my home for many years) but am now shifting spaces and places, and am beginning my PhD in Belgium, whereby my fieldwork will take me to the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Movement in all forms delights me. I enjoy a multitude of activities, and am driven by the beauty of nature, and a gentle nudging of a sense of justice, that makes me want to learn, grow, and evolve endlessly.
I'm a vegan, but I will kill mosquitoes. If there's anything more that you feel driven to know, just drop me a line!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on this website to connect with people that maybe I otherwise wouldn't have been able to meet!

Music, Movies, and Books

waking life, american beauty, natural born killers, where the buffalo roam, fear & loathing in las vegas (movie & book), any books by hunter s thompson, tom robbins, allen ginsberg, charles bukowski, daniel pinchbeck, rachel cusk, anne lamott, ocean vuong, arundhati roy, tishani doshi, padraig o tuama, bell hooks, florinda donner, carlos castaneda... ahhhhh man there's so many! this is a daunting task beginning to write them all down. I will leave the rest to the imagination.
I love any kind of music that makes me feel deeply.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I touched Mayan ruins, swam in the most azure waters I've ever been in, snorkeled out on a rogue whim and found wild sea turtles swimming all around me, and saw the most iguanas I've ever seen in my life all in one day.
I am lucky enough to have done many amazing things in my short lifetime, and most of the time, just being alive strikes chords of joy within my being!

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to enhance my capacity for sharing, always be open to learning and teach what I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer hosts some vegan baking/cooking skills! I absolutely love to cook for people. I also love to do wildly obscure interpretive dances if that's your form of entertainment! I'm a nice person and love to make people feel comfortable, and love it when others make me feel comfortable as well! I'm always up for critical discussion and thoughtful debate, and love a good opportunity to shake out my bones in any kind of expressive way.
