About Me
ABOUT ME
My name is Oran Dan, born a traveler. I have had amazing experiences couchsurfing already and i am really impressed by how well this works and how much we can trust eachother. I feel a silly description about myself is not interesting at all. I am simply really easygoing and interested in just about everything. I am very social and that’s what this platform is really about for me, meeting people, and if you are reading this hopefully meeting you too!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
So far i have been more of a guest than a host. I would love to host as well but my living conditions have been rather scant. If you are up for that you are always welcome.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have travelled around Morocco for 3 weeks.
During this journey i stayed with 4 different hosts.
3 of them where a great success and with one of them I am still in touch.
One host wasn't around much and tried to sell us stuff but if that is my worst couchsurfing experience, i have no complains at all. The other times i had with the other hosts, around South-America and in Europe were all priceless . That's why since then i'm very convinced couchsurfing is one of the most beautiful platforms, if not the best, for connecting people all over the world.
Interests
I like music very much. I play the guitar myself, but I enjoy listening to music even more. I dig into any (sub)genre and try to find where culture and real life meet the music in the most authentic way. I also love sports, I especially enjoy running, basketball or biking. And of course, needless to say, I love traveling and getting in touch with different cultures!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Vertigo, A Clockwork Orange, the Constant Gardner, Manchester by the Sea, La Haine.
Music: John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Gregory Porter, Marvin Gaye, Jazz, Blues, Soul, Funk, Folk, Brazilan funk, Hip-Hop, Zouglou, Kwaito (anything but top 40)
Books: Catcher in the Rye, the Kite Runner, Walden, Siddartha, Steppenwolf (Dutch literature: Den uitvreter, De avonden, helaasheid der dingen).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travel with one friend through Morocco for three weeks. We stayed with local Berbers in the mountains mostly and their culture and their appreciation for their nature and the nature on itself is unbelievably beautiful. This journey was so wild and unpredictable a book wouldn't be enough. It was without a doubt one of the best times of my life
