About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Accomplishing the impossible

ABOUT ME

I am open-minded and enjoy new adventures! I like to discover hole-in-the-wall restaurants, learn new skills from public speaking to knitting to surf kayaking, and I love to give back to the community by volunteering. I like to meet people from all walks of life and hear their stories. I also like coming home from work, heating up frozen food, and watching television.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is pretty long. Don't waste it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new, but heard fantastic things from friends! Look forward to positive experiences!

Interests

Discovering new places and hobbies really gets my juices flowing. I spend my time planning for big and small adventures, perusing the internet for new recipes, classes, and trip ideas, and I also help organize a group called Silicon Valley Volunteers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing moment I have had was right before I closed my eyes to take a nap on top of half-dome in Yosemite. At that point in my life, it was the hardest thing - physically and mentally I had ever accomplished. I felt like I could do anything! That is when I caught the adventure bug!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to think I know a thing or two about American early care and education. Questions? Feel free to ask.

I would be interested in learning about how other cultures raise their youngest children. (I loved the documentary Babies!)

I enjoy learning about spices from other cultures and how to use them in cooking, new vocabulary words, languages, and sports.
