About Me
Hi hi! I'm a CS PhD grad student working in robotic manipulation. Robots are great! ( The 10% of the time when they're working, at least). And of course, being on couch surfing, I am also into spontaneous adventures and expanding my understanding of the world through the people I interact and live with.
I'm a feminist at heart. I don't do any activism right now, but would like to in the future when my life is a little more stable. And through sailing, I started caring a lot more about climate change.
I also like cooking and baking with people a lot!
The countries I most recently visited are Costa Rica, Ecuador, and China.

Note: I can only host until the night before July 17th, when my roommate returns. Same-day requests are fine, I will try to respond at around 5pm. You are welcome to try texting me for a faster response. See web.mit.edu/nouyang/Public/DelicateOssifiedLandSuperbWilderness.txt
Since I'm living by myself, I will host people with good references. ^-^
Also, I have a lot of work lately, so maybe I will be a bit tired, it depends on the day -- I'm happy to host, please don't take it personally if I am a bit withdrawn.
Currently open nights: 11th, 14th, 17th
Looking forward to meeting!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I host because I want to pay it back to the great Couchsurfing community :) Y'all are awesome. Folks took me in during my solo bike trip from LA to San Diego & shared laughter and biking tips with me.
One day I hope to do more international travelling on my own, and meet people too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I built a sailboat rudder (for a 26' sailboat) that served me well for 2 years out in Boston Harbor -- CNC'd the foam mold, laid out the fiberglass and epoxy, filled it with foam and lead, painted over it, voila!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know about lasercutters, making robots, and sailing. A bit of pom pom and sewing (dresses, cosplay) and random baking experiences (e.g. rainbow challah).
Happy to teach Chinese, of course!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Kdrama recommendations :) and maybe startup constructive criticism
