About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live for today, fuck tomorrow, I'll deal with it when I get there...

ABOUT ME

I'm a crazy red headed by choice chic that likes to have a good time with everything I do. I can be serious in times of need, but just prefer not to.
I lived in Costa Mesa, CA until I was 5. Then moved to Iowa City, IA with my father. My mom lived in West Palm Beach, FL as I was growing up. I moved to live with her my sophmore year in highschool where I grew up and discovered a new view on life and people. I moved back to Iowa a year later to be with my amazing friends I missed so dearly. When I was 20 I packed up my things and drove to California by myself. Stayed in Louisville, CO w/ my aunt, uncle and cousin for about a month on my way. In August of 2007 I was cutting a girl's hair who had just got back from teaching English in South Korea. She inspired me to get out of America for a little while and she what's out there. I ended up backpacking Europe for 6 1/2 months. 4 1/2 months alone, the other 2 with a dear friend of mine from Iowa. I came back to the USA where I interviewed in LA, CA for my cruise ship job and went to London for my training. Less than 3 weeks later I set sail in the Mediterranean Sea for 8 months for an incredible experience. I got back to my home town in April 2009 and drove down to Austin a month later. This is when I had my first couch surfing experience. Now I'm living in Austin lovin' it!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is a book, just take it one chapter at a time...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have surfed a few couches and want to pay back by letting people surf mine. Not to mention, when I travel I will be utilizing this network. I also look forward to attending couch surfing events.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My experiences couch surfing have been awesome. The best was my second night in Oklahoma. This really nice guy who I stayed with the night before in Tulsa introduced me to a friend of his (we'll call him Joe)in Norman after his show on my way down to Texas. After bar close, I saw Joe walk away really fast. Didn't want to chase him like a crazy, so I asked my couch surfing bud to call him before he went back to Tulsa that night. Joe said he would come back. He didn't, so a friend of Joe's showed me to his house, but no one answered the door. I ended up sleeping on a hammock in a random peron's backyard that night. Good times ;)
Since then, I've surfed a couple more couches, met people through couch surfing friends, went to some Couch Surfing events and have hosted many peeps here in Austin. All good experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

Funny movies are my favorite. Cheezy music, classic rock, into mostly older stuff. I'll listen to the new shit in social situations, but it's not my favortite.
Don't have a favorite author. I end up reading girly books. Open for recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My life has been amazing and am very fortunate of that and have many amazing people that have been a part of it and made it amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn more languages. Especially Spanish. I would like to work on my Italian too. I know a tiny amount of French and German that I wouldn't mind improving as well.
I can tell you about most countries and give recommendations about Europe or the USA for I have spent lots of time in these places.
