Overview
About Me
I just want to be best friends with every single person in the entire world and also maybe meow and jump around on rooftops sometimes.
Sort of quiet sometimes but also sometimes not?? Super open to everyone and everything (but aren't we all, here?), and would appreciate the same in return. I'm a queer trans person (along with various other identities, but that's the one that tends to come up most immediately when CSing) and have an interest in various social issues. I do enjoy discussing gender and ethnicity and disability and class and all sorts of things! :) I'm always learning more about the world every day and would love to hear your perspectives and experiences.
I'm generally willing to try anything once/twice/several times. The only two things I really dislike are celery and coconuts, and I occasionally give exceptions for the latter.
Often a bit absent-minded. But sometimes very responsible? (I can definitely promise I'm a clean and conscientious guest.) I'm honestly not very consistent (though I am consistently honest) -- I just like to stay authentic to where the moment takes me, whether or not I know where that is.
Still fairly inexperienced here, so I'll be adding to this as I come up with more, well, consistencies, I guess. :P I like to procrastinate by filling this out, so it'll probably get pretty extensive...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love making new friends from all different walks of life! Met a bunch of people and surfed a couple of times back in 2012 and overall had a great time! Hoping to host some people eventually, though at the moment my living situation isn't quite ideal for that.
Interests
I draw a lot on everything everywhere. If you leave me alone long enough I will probably find something to draw on. People are my favorite subject, so I'll gladly draw you if you want! :D
I'm also fairly into photography, especially when traveling!
I'm usually not much of a partier, but sometimes it can be fun. :) I'm happy to grab a few drinks if you want to. Definitely more of a chill bar person than a crazy club person.
I really like getting onto rooftops, so if you know of a rooftop that you think is pretty cool (or even if it's not that cool, honestly), I'd love to check it out...
I love basically all forms of media and am more than happy to talk about your favorite movies/artists/books/games/etc., whether or not I know of them. You'll probably have the best luck talking with me about anime and manga, though, hahaha.
I also like people and chocolate and languages and people and singing and water gun fights and dogs and abandoned buildings and hugs and and adventuring and getting lost and run-on sentences and other things I may expand on if I ever get bored again and decide to write a whole bunch here.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: The Protomen, toe, Elbow, AAA, Made In Heights, Citizen Cope, Kaizers Orchestra, sgt., ONE OK ROCK, and lots more. Again, I like pretty much everything. I listen to music from a lot of different countries, but I'm probably most familiar with Japanese music. I love to discover new artists and styles and try to pick up a random CD whenever I'm in a new country. I also really love listening to movie soundtracks.
MOVIES: Primer, The Fall, Infernal Affairs, My Neighbor Totoro, Brazil, Back to the Future, and lots (lots lots) more. I like pretty much everything! If I have time I'd be glad to just sit around and watch some of your favorite films, really. :P
BOOKS: I'm pretty into science fiction in general, though I'm still working my way through most of the classics. I'm also quite into comics (particularly Japanese manga). I went through a long period of not reading much, but I'm starting to get back into it hard. The best book I've read recently is probably Nick Harkaway's The Gone Away World.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pinpoint a single moment since it's really the low-key intimate adventures that really stay with me the most. Skinny dipping with friends the day we all graduated from university. Losing myself in Japan and wandering around for an entire day, only to find the most beautiful temple in the middle of nowhere. Driving ten hours overnight from Huntsville to Cape Canaveral just in time to catch my first launch viewing on base at Kennedy Space Center. Petting dogs.
