Why I’m on Couchsurfing

First, I don't like the idea of making giant tech companies like Airbnb or Booking.com get richer and richer every day with their super-rich owners. I believe the world is also full of good people, and we can make the earth a better place by spreading love and goodness! All we need to do is meet, share our stories with one another and encourage people around us to do the same.

Second, with the widespread usage of social media and its algorithms, we are not living in our filter bubbles and echo rooms. Society is not as open-minded as it was before. We need to start to listen to each other again and know new people and cultures, embrace our differences and realize how similar we are!

Lastly, Couchsurfing is one of the oldest initiatives that try to change the world and really make a difference. Let's keep it alive!
