About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mainly to be a hostess...at the present I'm not too interested in traveling outside the USA

ABOUT ME

I was married to a Naval Officer until he passed away in 1993. In 1994 I met my current Honey, Jay, and we have been together ever since. I lived in Japan for 3 years and have traveled to HongKong, France, England, Germany, Denmark, & Taiwan. In the USA I have lived in California, Oregon, Virginia and Hawaii.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe to whom much is given...much is required...so I try to do all I can to help others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new so I haven't had a chance to participate. At this point, I am more interested in having visitors in my home than in visiting others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

No experience yet. Just read about CS in The Bottom Line so I decided to look it up on the internet.

Interests

Church; Teenagers; Good tenants; Learning more about others from different backgrounds

  • traveling
  • whitewater rafting
  • rivers

Music, Movies, and Books

I am kinda busy so I don't have much time to read anymore. Jay and I like movies, though. We also like to go out to dinner.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Flew in a flight simulator at Norton AFB...crashed in less than a minute! I've gone whitewater rafting and really liked it; I like picnics in the Oregon forests by the many creeks and rivers; It is snowing outside my house right now...it is beautiful.

Teach, Learn, Share

I see every day as a learning experience. I believe you learn SOMETHING from everyone you meet. Jay and I are pretty laid back. We always tell our visitors, "You have been here for 15 minutes now so you are no longer a guest...you are family...and as family you fend for yourself."
