Hey! I'm Oren, a 23 year old musician and from Jerusalem 🎵
I specialize in Persian classical music but also wonder and dive deep into Turkish and Arabic music blending all sorts of genres in unexpected ways. Beyond music, I’m into philosophy, hiking. I juggle Flowersticks. Outside of music, you’ll find me lost in philosophy, out on a hike, or juggling Flowersticks in a festival. I teach Persian music at the Center for Middle Eastern Music in Jerusalem and study Musicology and Middle Eastern Studies at the Hebrew University because apparently, I enjoy making my hobbies sound academic.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Let’s be honest—hotels are nice, but they don’t come with new friends, insider tips, spontaneous jams or impromptu juggling sessions in the living room. Couchsurfing is my way of skipping the tourist traps and diving straight into the good stuff: real connections, quirky stories, and maybe a slightly uncomfortable but totally memorable sofa 😊

Big fan of Wes Anderson, Tarantino, and Stanley Kubrick. I’m also part of a vibrant community of Israeli artists called "Ha`Shablulim" (The Snails) who are always cooking up fresh art, including film.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I tend to put myself in random situations in faraway places, and trust my instrument to provide me a place to sleep though I`m not sure if that`s amazing or stupid.
