Hi, I'm Orhan, an industrial engineering student from Istanbul with a passion for travel, food, and culture. I have an entrepreneurial spirit that influences my lifestyle, and I'm also a freelance designer. In my free time, I enjoy cooking various cuisines and experimenting with new recipes. While I don't memorize many recipes, I learn quickly and can whip up a delicious meal for my hosts and new friends.

Swimming is one of my favorite ways to stay active, and I'm always up for a friendly race. I also enjoy playing the guitar and learning new songs, even though mine has stayed back home in Marmaris.

During my childhood, I had the opportunity to experience various jobs in my family's touristic town, such as selling lemonade and souvenirs and working as a waiter. My family also ran a tea garden, where I worked with them every summer. I'm proud to say that my lemonade recipe is quite popular in town.

In high school, I discovered my passion for making robotic projects, and my friends and I started to make robotic lessons after school. Over the years, we made many projects and even attended competitions with them.

After going to university, I began to volunteer at an entrepreneurship center, where I took on more responsibility over time. Currently, I am responsible for the media and design operations of an International Startup Summit.

Beyond my hobbies and interests, I'm also a futurist who enjoys exploring the possibilities of technology and design, especially in the areas of web3, metaverse, space, and media. I love to follow technology trends across various industries and their connections to each other.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While swimming beneath the rocks at the end of the İçmeler village, I got caught in the evening current and managed to reach the shore by grabbing onto the rocks one by one since they were steep. I have to admit, for a moment there, I thought I might end up in Greece with the current!

During the pandemic, I made a bold decision to relocate to Istanbul, a move that has had a positive impact on my career. Despite the challenges of starting over in a new city, I embraced the opportunity to take on new experiences and it has been both exciting and fulfilling.
