About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"It's simple to be happy, what's hard is to be simple"

ABOUT ME

All about me? Hard to say, not even I now all about me... probably I know very little, and it's possible that I'm wrong in a lot of things.

I can just tell you some of the things I know:
When I am comfortable with the people around me I am very talkative (don't be afraid of telling me to shut up!)
I like dancing alone and with people that enjoys it like me.
I like those shared silences when words aren´t needed.
I can walk far but not fast.
I laugh a lot.
I like mate (mate tee for foreigns) but specially I love to share it!
I like "casualidades y causalidades". (sorry, don't know it in english).
I don't like people that hide their vulnerability, I don't like myself when I do it.
I love dulce de leche.
I'm always amazed by the sprit of small children, their capacity and creativity, their non stop discovering of the world.
I hate to see how easily we forget about that when we grow up. (and completely admire those who can keep it alive and strong).
I am very determined to improve my handstand, it's amazing to see the world upside-down!
I love when something very small brings up great discoverys.
I love people with strong ideas, but still open to listen other points of view (that's what makes them strong at the end).
I get very passionate talking about my country, so if you're not really interested, better to avoid the subject! :)
I love photography.
I like art when it makes me uncomfortable. I like art when it comforts me.
I love this writers that just wont let you go, and you keep coming back to them, and every time you read them it's even better.
I always get a bit sad when I finish a book I love. It feels too much like a goodbye.
Racist, homophobic, fascist, sexist ideas are not welcome!
(it could continue...) ;)

PHILOSOPHY

"If our life lacks a constant magic, it is because we choose to observe our acts and lose ourselves in consideration of their imagined form and meaning, instead of being impelled by their force" (Antonin Artaud).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I found out about it just before I started my travel, so for now I have just surfed, but every time I meet someone new in a city, I can't wait to show them the Montevideo I love! So I can't wait to be back in Uruguay to share my little but beautiful city with travelers that decide to take their chances in "el paisito" (the little country, as we call it sometimes) :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm just starting with it, but so far is going well! (I notice now that this is not very up to date, I'll change it as soon as I can!)

Interests

I enjoy very very much to be outdoor, walk, bike, practice yoga or acro yoga outside, or just getting some fresh air.
I love to read, to watch good movies, go to the theatre. I like dancing, Contact Improvisation dance, training Aikido, running (let's move our bodies!).
I love eating, specially sweet delicious things (that's probably my worst addiction!).
I love travelling and meeting people of different culturs.
I like photography very much, and I would love to learn more about it.
I'm interested in art, specially contemporary art (it is so wide that it's hard to be more specific!).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen whales in Puerto Madryn, they're my absolute favorite animal!

Walked 1012 km in El camino de Santiago. (It took me almost 40 days, as I said, I can go far but not so fast).

Participating in this beautiful, beautiful project invited by a dear friend of mine :) Watch it! the soundtrack is from an amazing uruguayan band.
