Hi ! I'm a 20 years old girl and I'm currently living in north of France. I truly like to learn new things though trips, museums and exhibitions, reading, meeting people by chance, see things I'm not use to... Openmindness is a daily yearning and I try to be as open and spontaneous as I can. Most of my friends and relatives say that I'm a joyful and curious personn and I'm even sometimes a bit crazy but they get used to it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's a way to go beyond... Beyond usual ways to discover new places. It is an enriching alternative to money, guidetour, human relation ! I think that Couchsurfing enable us to creats new types of connection between people, from humanbeing to humanbeing and without intermediary.

My first experiences were in Italy, last summer, were I spend three weeks with my best friend travelling from Florence, to Rome and Napoli. We had such a great time ! We had five different host and every single one were extraordinary nice ! Sometimes crazy and funny, sometimes calm and thoughtful. Some of them were nuddist, others told us about reiki... Enchanting moments !!

Interests

I am keen on Art, every kind of Art !! But I do prefer contemporary art. I'm especially interested in installations and the way it recreats a link between the piece of art and the visitor. Otherwise, I really like music as well as I play the celtic harp since I'm 6. Dance, theater, architecture and litterature are others of my interests and I wish I had the time to learn by reading dozens of books every month !

But I don't have lots of free time and the reason is because of my commitment in associations. I take an active part in ecologist association such as the french young green and I try to save the world even if it seems hard... But never give up ! Carrots will overcome ! This commitment is linked to my interest in ecological issues like globalization, foods and agriculture, altermondialism... But, in a wider approach, I'm also interested in political issues, feminism, and some political theories such as self-management, basic income, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like different types of music, from classic to contemporain music, from traditional music (like celtic or yiddish) to experimental composers...
But I especially like rock from the 70's like Pink Floyd, Velvet Underground, the Love, ... And I would say that my favorite band is RADIOHEAD, definelty !
Concerning movies, the stranger they are, the more interesting I may found them !
Kubrick is one of the directors I like the most ! Otherwise, french Nouvelle Vague, Anderson, ...
And about litterature... I really really like poetry, especially from the end of the XIXe century to nowadays but I also like theater, and more specificly absurde theater or modern plays.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I get though the Orkney Islands in Scotland on a trailer with my best friend after hitchkiging under the rain.

I tried nuddism with this friend and our host in Italy and, considering the temperature at this time of the year (it was in the middle of the summer), it was a nice experience : we felt free and confortable !

While we were in Italy, we get lost and arrived in a camping but we didn't have any tent. Finally, we met a bagali refugee who host us in his tent : this experience was very moving !

I also like to cook (oh ! I forgot to tell : I am vegetarian) so I can cook for you if you're greedy. i like to dance as well ! And I would be happy to dance with you if you like it as well.
