Overview
About Me
Currently living in the Netherlands (Amsterdam) for 8 years, and still amazed by what this lovely country has to offer. I do Bioinformatics, but I have a Physics and Chemistry background.
I've lived my whole life in Barcelona (actually I live in a close city to Barcelona) but I've also lived during the summer in Belfast (Northern Ireland) and in Edinburgh, working in hostels, meeting a lot of travellers.
CURRENT MISSION
After a long time of wait, I'm currently backpacking South America and eager to get to know about the culture here. I'd like to meet locals on my way and I'm also eager to know more about the LGBTQ+ perspective.

ABOUT ME
I'd describe myself as an open-minded person. I'm always willing to do new things and to make the most of my time while being out.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've never couched someone before as I've always lived in shared spaces. Since recently I'm living alone in Amsterdam and I can arrange something to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My couchsurfing experience is limited as I haven't used it since it started requiring a payment. I've once again activated my account and I am eager to get to know new people over here
I'm happy to verify via social networks, e.g. Instagram (@originalberto)

I love music (above all seeing them in live), and I have a last.fm profile as well. If you want to check it here's the url: http://www.lastfm.es/user/Albertoaway

I also love the ballroom scene (voguing!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
(written in....2013? )
I guess that the last amazing thing that I've done was seeing the whole sky last summer in the Northern Ireland coast at night (close to the Giant's causeway). As it's a very countrified area there were no pollution in the sky and I was able to see sooo many stars. It was an astonishing experience...I felt amazed about how little we are compared to the enormity of the universe.
Teach, Learn, Share
There's always a lot to learn about. I enjoy a lot learning about different traditions from other countries and sharing the traditions from my country as well. That's a way to avoid culture shocks in the future ;)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I could show you the little secrets from Amsterdam and also some traditions and tips about Spain
I live alone and I can offer you a couch - not the most comfortable but for a couple of nights it should work. I can only host one person at a time
