About Me
Hi!
I’m Oriol, a 22-year-old Sociology student from Barcelona. This September I'll be on my way to Berlin, where I'll be studying there for a semester. However, I wanted to go there by train and stop in Cologne for four days to visit an old friend and visit the city (and if I have the chance, visit Düsseldorf and Wuppertal too). The main reason I want to see Wuppertal is the Schwebebahn :'). I'm always in a good mood and very reliable... and CLEAN! I try to keep a good atmosphere and I'm very sympathetic, so I'm very "problem-free". In addition, I really like talking with people from different countries. Additionally, I'm VERY open-minded.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Basically, I want to find a private setting without spending a huge amount of money. I'm brining a lot of things with me, so I want to find a place where I don't need to worry all the time about my stuff. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE hostels and I've been to many of them (in Portugal, in the UK, in Austria...) but I want to start my little 6-month adventure in Germany without headaches.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've decided to be who I am unapologetically. Aside from that:
- I've joined a program to help Syrian refugees integrate in Spain.
- I've participated in the production of a documentary in Portugal.
- I've volunteered to protect the forests around the Danube in Austria.
- I've Interrailed through the UK.
- I've gone to a country without a return ticket.
- I've slept in the Sahara desert.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to have a good relationship with the host. If he/she can have some conversation in German, I'd be extremely pleased. Otherwise, it's definitely not an issue. I speak English fairly well and what I want the most is to leave the city with a good sensation and pumped up for my next destination, but most importantly, with a brand-new friend!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my cooking skills, my good mood and my honesty. If the host ever needs anything, there I am! If he/she also wants to learn Spanish (or Catalan), BE MY GUEST! I can also teach him/her some card games and some secrets about Barcelona and Spain. I don't plan to stay too much time, but I want to make the most of it!
