Hi! I'm Orion, a just-graduated 22 year old from Florida, USA. I love to work with plants and centered my academic study around doing so, having planted a small food forest on our campus. I wrote my thesis on the relationship between humans and algae, and love to think about the world in ecological terms. I plan on devoting my life to ecological regeneration and environmental justice, and want to meet as many like-minded people all over the world as I can. I've lived abroad in Belgium for a year after secondary school, so I learnt French there, though it's a bit rusty after 4 years back in the US. I love to travel and learn about other cultures, and other languages in particular. I consider myself an advocate of social justice, focusing on how humans interact with the environment and new economic theories. I really like the world of sound, and soundscapes in particular– I enjoy messing around with producing sample based music, though I also dabble in playing guitar and have a background in chorus and voice training from secondary school.
