Overview
About Me
Hey! Hola! I am Orlagh Thompson from County Down, Northern Ireland. I am studying Spanish and Italian in UCC in the south of Ireland and I absolutely love it! Currently on my exchange year in Buenos Aires and having an incredible time... would thoroughly recommend coming to live in this city... especially if you're young. It has so much to offer.... never ending fiestas and ferias!
I see myself as an open, passionate and lovely human being... :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really love travelling, meeting new, lovely and interesting people, experiencing new cultures, traditions and ways of living, seeing new and beautiful places, trying food from different countries and also sharing my very own Norn' Irish culture with the world. Our traditional cuisine is not something to brag about particularly but we do have some great beers and local, artisan cheeses, great sea food and don't forget the ulster fry!
Interests
I love music (I play the piano, ukulele, bit of saxophone and I sing) I love painting, sketching, dancing, hiking, rowing, running, cooking, EATING (local, sustainable, good, clean and fair food) rock climbing, TRAVELLING, new languages... pretty much everything!

Music, Movies, and Books
I really love all music (perhaps with the exception of heavy metal) ... I love Passenger, London Grammar, Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova, Hozier, Damien Rice, Moxie....
Not such a fan of horror movies... some of my favourite movies are Amelie, Ratatouille, The Kite Runner, Y tu mama tambien...
One of my favourite books is 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So many crazy things to pick from hahaha...
Well I rowed from Ballycastle, Northern Ireland to Iona Island in a traditional irish curragh called the 'Colmcille' with 12 others stopping at various Scottish islands along the way as part of a northern irish peace project.
Teach, Learn, Share
At the age of 21 I still have a lot to learn but I would love to share my musical skills (as I said before I play the piano and ukulele and sing) I can also speak Spanish and Italian (kind of) and English (of course) ... I can teach you how to row too (although its not so difficult)
I would love to learn how to cook different cuisines, how to practice yoga... anything and everything (pretty much)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share with you how to play the piano, ukulele, sing... how to cook some Norn Irish recipes... maybe how to speak Spanish, Italian or English...
maybe something about the Northern Irish culture...
