Working at an International Organization in Washington DC
ABOUT ME
I was born in Colombia and work at an international organisation in Washington. I lived in Paris, Bogota, Princeton, NYC, San Francisco, Caracas and on a yacht in Monaco (one of these is not true..haha).
I am passionate about cultural diversity and very engaged in local and global affairs. I enjoy a good conversation, a picnic, a good movie, a soccer match (watch or play) a bike ride. I love dancing afro-Caribbean music (Salsa, Zouk, reggae, merengue... etc).

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all kinds of music, especially music with African roots: salsa, reggae, merenge, blues, jazz. I also enjoy pop music: Madonna, Shakira, Abba... Reggaeton: Pittbull, Don Omar, Wisil & Yandel. ... american and french rap.... Rock Music from the 70's.
Literature: Saramago (Blindness), Coetzee (Disgrace) urban novels....
My Favorite directors:
-Almodovar (Law of Desire, All About My Mother, Talk to her, Broken Embraces...)
- Kusturika (Time of the Gypsies, Underground, Black Cat, White Cat)
- Wong Kar-wai (Happy Together, In the Mood for Love, 2046, My Blueberry Nights),
Recently, I watched two films that I liked "The Bothersome Man"(check it out!) and a new comedy called "Hipsters" about the 50's Jazz culture in the Soviet Union. I also enjoy Hollywood movies :P
Art: Picasso, Matisse, Dali, Miro, Van Gogh, Degas, Manet, Cézanne, Dutch golden age (Rubens, Van Dyck) German expressionism... etc.
TV shows: The Daily Show, Family Guy, The Colbert Report, Portlandia, 6 Feet Under, Modern Family, some colombian novelas/series: El Patron del Mal (highly recomended), sin tetas no hay paraiso...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked in a big cargo ship in Denmark and Sweden together with danes and tuvalu people.
I have many good stories to tell you...
Teach, Learn, Share
I enjoy very much teaching languages as Spanish and French... but I think we can learn a lot from a good conversation.
