About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Being here...

ABOUT ME

We met each other in Karlstad 1998 on the day after Sebastians arrival in Sweden. We stayed in Sweden and built our home in Karlstad, where we enjoy ourselves ever since.

Alexandra: I was born and grew up in Storvreta/Uppsala north of Stockholm. I studied Religion and Swedish and have been on an exchange year in Chambery, France. I worked at the Karlstad University for 5 years and I am now working for the MSB - the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency in Karlstad. Next to that I have my own company KAXA Production.

Sebastian: I'm a bicycle-loving former Dutchman who as a 15-year-old made the decision to migrate to a forest abroad. I studied at the International Hotel School in Leeuwarden and left the Netherlands for an MBA-year at the Karlstad University in 1998. Today I work as business counsellor at Almi företagspartner.

PHILOSOPHY

Alexandra: Best way to fortune is to stay curious.
Sebastian: Being here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Surfing and hosting, made a financial contribution, active communicating in some of the groups and creating new groups...

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far we have stayed at a CS'er in Finland, eaten dinner with a CS'er in Moscow and stayed at CS'ers in the Netherlands and in Poland. We have also had CS'ers from quite some different countries surfing our couches and beds. Just a great way of meeting people and learning about other peoples real life-situations.

Interests

Fun things in life are meeting people, arts, dancing, feng shui, reading and writing, cooking, coffee time, transition and outdoor sports such as XC skiing, XC and DH mountainbiking, ice skating, rock climbing and kite flying.
