About Me
CURRENT MISSION
"Every daring attempt to make a great change in existing conditions, every lofty vision of new possibilities for the human race, has been labeled Utopian."
Emma Goldman
ABOUT ME
traveling is a state of mind, a receptiveness to the unexpected, to the unknown lying inside and outside of you. I like meeting people and discovering new ways of thinking and experiencing the world. I believe in generosity, cooperation, open-mindedness, and struggle for a more egalitarian and fair world.
I love literature and cinema, I've been making movies since I'm 14 and writing fiction and non fiction stories.
PHILOSOPHY
Being a quiet and yet unflagging observer of little things of big importance.
"Impose ta chance,
Serre ton bonheur,
Va vers ton risque,
A te regarder, ils s'habitueront." René Char.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm living in Lausanne, a small city by the lake of Geneva surrounded by beautiful mountains :).
I have a sofa that is big enough for 2.
I accept smokers but you would need to smoke outside.
I am trying to be vegan and mostly I am vegetarian, but I don't mind if you cook animal products for yourself in my kitchen.
I'd be glad to meet couchsurfers from my area!

Music, Movies, and Books
my top film directors (of the moment) are Peter watkins ("la commune", "punishment Park")
Agnès Varda ("les glaneurs et la glaneuses") .
I also like Jan Svankmajer ("asiles", "Alice")
Abderrahmane Sissako ("Bamako")
Emir Kusturica ("underground", "Arizona Dream")
Jane Campion ("the piano")
Tim Burton's films ("Edward Scissorhand" and "Nightmare before christmas" especially).
Miyazaki Hayao, I love you forever!!!!
of my favorite books and writers...I especially admire Sarah kane's rough and beautiful plays.
Arundhati Roy's "The god of small things", couldn't take my eyes away until I finished the last sentence of this book!
Fritz Zorn's amazing book "Mars" also, a dark autobiography both political and sociological, it's like a shock treatment.
I like Nicolas Bouvier's "le poisson-scorpion", a truly finely written book on travelling.
A book that really messed me up too was Aglaja Veteranyi "pourquoi l'enfant cuisait dans la polenta", tragic and poetic journey from romania of a child born in a circus.
The latest book I fell in love with was the deep and intense story of an intersex person "Anabel" by Kathleen Winter.
About music, I like Tom Waits very much, almost every album. I like Filastine, Franz Schubert, Misha Alperin, I'm deeply in love with Georg Friedrich Haendel, Glück's Orfeo ed Euridice gives me the shivers, I love the opera danced with the Pina Bausch company, I'm madly fond of Iggy Pop and the stooges, CocoRosie, Radiohead, the Pixies...I like many movie's soundtracks, Marcel Camus's "Orfeo negro" has a gorgeous music by Luiz Bonfa. the soundtrack by Neil Young of Jim Jarmush's "dead man" is hypnotic.
