Why I’m on Couchsurfing

* As a guest: **

I have been to a decent amount of countries but in the past I never felt that I have truly "been" to a place, except for times I had the opportunities to interact with the locals. To me traveling is about meeting people, learning about their culture and customs, as much as seeing all the sights.

To me couch surfing is really the best way to meet locals, and to learn more about the world that's not described in guidebooks or summarized in a two day tour of the sights.

** As a host: **

Since I don't travel as much as I want to, this is an excellent chance to meet people from all over the world without me having to go to other countries.I live in Uralsk city( Kazakhstan) with my parents, and they like to host and to cook for them. Sometimes, I live in Almaty and I can host this city when I am in there.

I do prefer to have some interactions with my guests, so I would prefer not to host guests that only want a free night of lodging or something like that.
