Overview
About Me
Im formally educated as architect, self taught musician, certified diver, and born to be traveller. I make living out of architecture works and spend most of it on travelling and diving. I live in Bali, Indonesia, real wonderful place to live in. But I also enjoy meeting new people and go to new places. I would welcome new friends to my home, however as my architecture works required a lot of travelling I will need potential guest to contact me way in advance.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im very new in Couchsurving but am also very excited about it. I love travelling and enjoy the company of new people. I wish I would have known couchsurfer much earlier.
Interests
Contemporary Architecture, Progressive Music, Diving, and of course the ocean :)
Music, Movies, and Books
70s progressive rock, 90s-now metal progressive, Classical music especially the works of Vivaldi, Beethoven, Debussy, and Wagner... they might don't match to each other but trust me, they do! Philosophy books especially from the enlightenment period, books on new era of green philosophy. The sagas: Star Wars, Lord of the Rings.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I am very adaptable traveler, been living temporarily in Jakarta, Sydney, Perth, Singapore, Osaka, Shanghai; and had visited Canberra, Melbourne, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe, Tokyo, Yokohama, KL, Putra Jaya, Bangkok, Phuket, New Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Bhopal, Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Riyadh, Mecca, Medina, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Zurich, Frankfurt, Paris, London; regularly visiting Washington DC, New York, and Boston. There was a time that I got really 'consumed' by my works that I had to flew a little more than 100 flights in a year none of which for leisure purposes... Crazy (-.-') but thankfully that kind of life is over already ('-.-)
Teach, Learn, Share
Regularly delivering architectural lecture as adjunct professional professor to share experiences in some universities in the Pacific rim (Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong). The funny part is that I always have the feeling that the more I taught, the more I learned from my students... Had been the speaker of few well known seminar/symposium mostly on the subject of architecture including those hosted by UNESCO, Pritzker Laureate, and AAC.
What I Can Share with Hosts
As I am very busy, I might end up leaving guest unattended, so sorry, but this could also means total freedom right... but if you're lucky, sometimes i can get 2-3 weeks off which means I can take you around Bali or even to the nearby Gili islands. So to work it out best, please plan up ahead.
