My name is Oscar, I am 26 years old, born and bred on a farm in New Zealand. I am a qualified heavy diesel engineer, and have very nearly completed my pilot's license. I'm living in Westport after not long returning home from 3 years overseas with my girlfriend Kristin who's a former TV journalist and loves photography and the outdoors. We are both very easy going, adrenaline junkies, we love meeting new people, sharing stories and experiencing new ways of life. We very rarely turn down the opportunity for a new adventure!

After finishing our 9 month road trip we have settled down to work in Oughterard, County Galway for a year. We used Couchsurfing while travelling and met some amazing people who we are still in touch with. We are both social people and love to get immersed in the culture of whatever country we are visiting, and learning from visitors about their home countries.

Oscar - Music: rock. Books: adventure, action and thrillers are my favourite but I read anything that can be read!!
Kristin - Music: anything from Frank Sinatra to Kendrick Lamar. Books: usually historical fiction but I can read anything as long as it's well written, no 50 shades of grey haha

We can help you with your English (Kristin used to be an English tutor) and give you heaps of tips on travelling to New Zealand. We've travelled around our country a lot so know a lot of the best spots to visit and places that aren't very touristy if you want to get away from the crowd. We can also cook a pretty good Kiwi BBQ!
