I'm Oscar and together with my fiance Marie and our newborn son Nils, we made our home living in a small farm in the countryside of southcentral Sweden. Here we grow as much food as we can manage and with a recent introduction of ducks to the farm makes us self sufficient on eggs aswel. We can offer a peaceful place, away from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities. A few kms from Söderåsen National park, where I also work part time. We do keep quite active with maintenance around the farm and everything garden related, but we always find time to go hiking, biking swimming, exploring new places or just hanging out.
We have a cosy caravan that we used to live in for two years. In it we accommodate guests during the warmer months of the year.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best thing that can happen to me while traveling is when someone invites me to their home. Be it a meal, drink, chat or a place to sleep. Getting a break from the hostel life and see with your own eyes how life really is in the places i travel to.
And now that I'm no longer moving about I'd love to bring the world to me instead. Turning strangers into friends.

If a (semi) self sustainable lifestyle is what you're seeking then we can tell you the do's and dont's that we had to learn ourselves.
I'll (Oscar) also teach you what I recently learned myself about Swedish society. Or our language, not that it's necessary here but still!
Also Spanish or Portuguese, I'm equally interested in learning more of these languages and if you are a native speaker I will most likely insist we stick to these languages. Marie speaks fluent french aswell along with Spanish and some German.

And if your standards aren't that high I can teach you some Romanian or Hindi/Urdu!
