I am a recent graduate from the Environmental Technologies program from SAIT (Southeren Alberta Institute of Technology)

Currently seeking a job in sustainability, remediation and reclamation, perhaps a environmental technician or consultant. Have had experience in plant and animal monitoring in the past as a summer student and during practicum.

Quite the nature enthusiast as I've guided hikes, canoeing and horseback riding trips with kids, friends and family

Experienced the outdoors in many ways, from tree planting, cherry picking, farming, gardening, wwoofing, etc.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As i travel and explore Canada, and afterwards the World, sometimes campgrounds and hostels can be difficult to find as accommodations, especially cheap or free ones.

Couchsurfing has showed me ways which i can contribute and not feel like i have overwelcomed my stay.

I believe it is important to pitch in from time to time and help out when necessary, or take the initiative to help out just because it feels good to do so!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

From my reference, I was privileged to stay with a family in a time of direness and need when they had a recent break in and i was in desperate need of a place to stay. They had allowed me to stay after we shared a nice meal together and explained our current situations to one another. I intended to stay for a week or so to help them feel safe and for me to figure out my next destination on my journey. We bonded over that time and ended up staying for a month! We would go to the lake and beach often daily, hike mountains and trails nearby, share groceries and split the bills when going out to eat, i would drive them to church since they didn't have a vehicle and pick them up from appointments, etc. I will never forget my first couchsurfing experience and hopefully more to come.

We are still in contact and connect over Facebook from time to time, this happened in the summer of 2016 in Kelowna, BC.
