Overview
About Me
21 year old guy travelling the world. Went to University a couple of times but deferred because I felt in my heart, I wanted to get out and travel. Spent the last 18 months before I left in Australia working two jobs to save, one in a pizza/tapas restaurant and the other in a specialty cheese importing warehouse. Loving the experiences I've had so far and hoping to build on them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm a socially oriented kinda guy, but I find interacting with one or two people to be far more enjoyable than large groups. For this reason, I have often found hostels to be more difficult to find that one-on-one interaction than when staying with friends of friends etc. I would like to build a friendship base full of people all around the world, to experience their culture with true local advice and then to be able to offer the same hospitality if they were ever to come down under to Australia.
Interests
Life interests me! I guess I spend much of my time at home working, socially interacting, reading, watching movies, listening to music and seeing live shows, and meditating. Since I've been away I've explored aimlessly a lot, wandering through unfamiliar cities and meditating in peaceful environments, and replaced the working hours with a bit more time to socialise and take photographs, which is quickly becoming an area of great interest.

Music, Movies, and Books
In all categories, to many to mention. My appetite for artistic indulgence is incredibly broad, and there is very little that I don't enjoy. I can experience it all for it's own merit - I have no artistic prejudice. I've been into film and music for my whole life, and while I used to read a lot in my younger years, it has only been since I left for this trip that I have started to really enjoy a good book in a peaceful setting. If you love a bit of Wes Anderson, John Steinbeck or Bob Marley, we're gonna get along just fine!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My first international experience was renting a campervan and going for a roadtrip through California with a friend of mine. We visited Los Angeles, Death Valley, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park and then ended up in San Francisco. It was one of the best weeks of my life. We cooked all our meals on the little stove at the back of the van, drove many hundreds of kilometres together and went hiking in some of the most picturesque scenery in the US. Amazing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my limited life experience and my eternal love for people, but most importantly, and I can share my open mind and keen ears for the experiences of my hosts!
