About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I love arts and activism, hopefully I'll find a path to work on both. I've also worked in the education program at a couple of museums, so if you're looking to visit Mexico city and need advise on the museum/gallery scene I could be of much help.

ABOUT ME

I went to Art School, I'm easygoing, love traveling and meeting new people. Read a lot, ask a lot and tend to invest myself in getting to know a place, be it through exploring when I visit or when talking to someone who's been there.

I'm good at baking a couple of things (even some vegan options), love dancing and walking. I can go party or spend a day at a museum, conferences and other academic activities are also on top of my list on things I enjoy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not yet, but willing to explore and when it's possible (2017) be able to start hosting.

Interests

Museums, gardens, big cities, history, diversity. I really enjoy moving through a city and discovering local public spaces (parks, fountains, plazas) that are interesting.
I'm a feminist and have also been working on museums and most of my interests are within the spectrum of Cultural Studies.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been gravitating towards mystery non-fiction books lately, Devil in the White city being the book by which the trend settled, I will read anything though.

I've never read the american classics, but I'm well versed in Rory's opinion about most of them from Gilmore Girls first 3 seasons ;)

One of my favorite books is Las buenas conciencias by Carlos Fuentes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Visiting the glaciers in Alaska is certainly one, also the Niagara Falls and definitely Rome and Venice.

Teach, Learn, Share

I realy enjoy talking to people, specially when they're from a different context.
I tend to research before I visit a place but I'm always eager to hear about the place's dyanamics from the people who live there, or the history of the place.

I love talking to people about some of the things I learned in Art School, when people visit I'm glad to show them around town. I could also try to tech someone how to dance over a couple of beers.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Great conversations, I'm also a fast learner so I'd be glad to help around the place and intend on learning and respecting the rules reigning over that specific "shire", I really enjoy boardgames and even though I suck at videogames I'll try to learn.
Pretty good at dancing (yes, again), also into karaoke and theater.

I can also bake and cook a couple of nice dishes. Don't be shy if you want me to do the dishes, it's my favorite household chore.
