ABOUT ME

Hmhmhm. This is always hard. I'll just write whatever pops up in my mind, pardon if this gets a bit messy!

I've always seen myself as a quite diverse person, not superpassionate at this one specific subject, not superengaged in any certain activity, and always searching. Never really settling my roots. This way of life can be interesting, and surely I've learned alot about many aspects of life, but it can also be demoralizing. I might sometimes feel a bit rootless and wonder which direction I'm going in my life (should one be going in one?), how I wan't to spend my time on this planet and how I want to impact on it. I think alot about "our" society, our way of living. This is certainly one of my strenghts, but it can also be a weakness if not used right. However, it surely is one of my fundamental traits, and thus I will just have to cope with it the best I can.

I'm also quite engaged in thinking of how to improve the world, how to improve myself and where I can place myself to be good for both the creatures of our planet and for myself. I repeatedly find myself pondering about our economic system, our dichotomizing ways of viewing things, the impacts of basic human nature on modern society, how the "idea world" affects the real world, etc. And of course, I continuously search for ways of channeling these thoughts into some real-world-effects, which always presents a challenge.

At the moment I'm reading a philosophy course in Lund. The Lund-Malmö-region is a cool place and probably one of the best place to live in Sweden. :) visit!

PHILOSOPHY

Happiness is uncomplicated, the opposite is not.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Music, Movies, and Books

Some examples of music I like:

Kultiration
Bonobo
Bon Iver
Jaga Jazzist
Tom Waits
Breakbot
The Bloody Beetroots
Junip

Some random good documentaries:

The Yes men. Creative, pain-inducingly funny documentary which reveals some serious flaws in our globalized world.

Gasland. Painful to watch. To see what some people are doing to our planet, unfortunately not a unique case in any way.
