About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To sample and partake of the human experience - to learn and teach, to change evolve and create.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Andalusia, Southern Spain and raised in North West Scotland. After high school I spent a year in Wales learning what school couldn't teach me, then left for Australia, and then one month ago came to New Zealand.
I've always lived with dogs, and since I started travelling I've always bonded with the dog faster than the owner. I'm a keen dog walker - it's as regular a thing to me as brushing teeth.
Sailing and generally messing about in boats - haven't done it since I left Scotland, but it is a great passion of mine.
I've been playing guitar and bass since my 14th birthday, and I love to spend evenings just noodling away... but when it comes to playing with other people, I can be as disciplined as is necessary. I'm also really, really keen to teach. I haven't had access to a guitar for a while and I miss it so much. Music is a large part of my life, I doubt I'll ever give it up.
The year I spent in Wales, and subsequently the year I spent in Australia have taught me so much about permaculture, sustainability, alternative ways of life and travel - and as a way of life it's suited me so far. I apply every skill I've ever learnt whenever I can, in an effort to create change and harmony in every environment I find myself in.
People have described me as practical and pragmatic, friendly, diplomatic and fair. I really appreciate it when someone tells me something about myself that I wasn't aware of... self discovery is always high on my agenda as I'm a fairly self-conscious person. I find the more I learn about the world around me the more I learn about myself.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Built my own home at the age of 17.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've years of experience wwoofing - those types of skills I wish to use, hone and share. I'm also very willing to teach guitar playing to anyone I meet. I've also got experience teaching sailing to children and adults, though that was a while ago. I'm now a self employed gardener and so any work or advice or skill sharing about gardens I'd be more than up for. The more we teach the more we learn, and I love to teach.
